Canoma 8-17 | Matsukaze

Miyajima, in Aki. The scent of the sea breeze, Itsukushima Shrine, and deer envelops the entire island with the morning mist. On a tree-lined path, I encounter a plump camellia. I bring my nose closer. When the sacred air of the island intertwines with the scent of the camellia, I am filled with awe.

Four parts—leather-centric animalic, mossy and mushroomy woody, seaweedy marine, and osmanthus-centric floral—complexly intertwine to form a single accord.
